I've seen stuff that looked awesome that was a fan project, Why do they use their time making something based on a pre-made franchise when they can be using those skills to make something new?
If they want to make some "Fan project" then why don't they make it like a tribute to the franchise that's different enough that it can be it's own thing.
For instance, Let's say some groups making a Silent Hill fan movie and it has awesome productions values and great writing and everything is just awesome,
Why couldn't they then rename it something like "Town of mist" or "The Silent" and just change up the names and style enough for it to be it's own?
Not to say I'm making one,
Personally I'd rather be making my own stuff..
The most fan project type of thing I have done is make 3d stuff based off something..NEver anything huge though like an animation or something..
People get inspiration from stuff and that's awesome, nothing wrong with that.
I mean if you make...a western, It's not a rip off because there is already a western...Ofcourse if you make Shane 2 the movie...it could be a little to much
Where was I going with this..eh whatever,
I guess some people just want to do it cause it's fun or whatever and I guess there's nothing wrong with that.
and the fact that people can be that dedicated is pretty cool too.
Anyway
Flash 10 was acting stupid..I just updated and every time I watch youtube it freezes so I had to re-install flash9...Dang..
