Gotta build them skillz

As a youngster, I had some really talented friends. Dudes who could draw really awesome, compose music, or re-adjust a whole rpgmaker game's stat system (I think you know who you are ^_^ )

I grew up with this idea that if you wanted to be great at anything, then you had to have natural born talent. I tried to be as good but never felt like I could catch up in skill to where my friends were at.

Today I know that it isn't like that. My simple 3d stuff is already better then I thought I'd get at 3D and my drawing skills are way past what I thought they'd ever be.

Don't count yourself out because you're not talented.
From what I've found, if you want to be good at something then you have to keep at it! You can't just quit because you are not good at something. You stay with it and build up your skills.

That's better then being naturally talented anyway. If you're good at something without having to do anything to get there then you won't have an appreciation for the time and work it took to get where you are. I for one like to be able to see how good at stuff I used to be and how good I am now. It's something that motivates me to keep improving.

The point of the post? Talent can be built!

and that's all I got today. :)

I forgot to mention, I got rid of the background image to make the blog load faster for slower connections. I'm kinda liking the just black background anywho. ^_^
